| Over the past ten years, hundreds of families and friends have added their names to the original Garden Walk, located at the corner of Curtiss Street and Forest Avenue. More than 800 inscribed bricks were placed during the first phase, which began in 1999 with the opening of the renovated library. Funds raised were used to purchase art now located around the library.
There are many personal stories and memories attached to the bricks in the Garden Walk. A number of our contributors have chosen to share their stories with us. Some are sad or bittersweet while others are funny or whimsical; some want to honor friends and family while showing their support for the library. All come together in the Garden Walk with a sense of history and community.
Read and enjoy some of the stories behind the Garden Walk.
