The Garden Walk

The Downers Grove Public Library Foundation’s Garden Walk is growing, and your name will make it bloom!  Commemorate a special occasion, honor a loved one, or just leave your mark at the library by purchasing and personalizing a brick for the Garden Walk.

Donations will be used by the Foundation to purchase artwork and other enhancements for the library.

With a $100 donation, you’ll get a 4" x 8" brick inscribed with your name, favorite saying, or message. A $250 donation entitles you to personalize an 8" x 8" brick

Your contribution goes to the Downers Grove Public Library Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, and is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

You are also invited to contribute a story about your brick that we will feature on our website.

Hundreds of families and friends have added their names to the Garden Walk at the corner of Curtiss Street and Forest Avenue.  More than 800 inscribed bricks were placed during the first phase of the Garden Walk which began in 1999 with the opening of the renovated library.  In 2008 the Garden Walk was expanded along Forest Avenue on the west side of the library.

For more information, pick up a brochure in the library or call the Administration Office at (630) 960–1200.
