The man who enters a library is in the best society this world offers; the great welcome him, surround him, and humbly ask to become his servants; and if he himself, from his own earnings, contributes to its supports, he is more of a man than before.
Andrew Carnegie
The Andrew Carnegie Circle was named for philanthropist Andrew Carnegie whose foundation provided over $50 million dollars in funds for more than 2,800 libraries around the country, including the Downers Grove Public Library in 1915.
As a member of this distinctive club, you will receive a gift from the Downers Grove Public Library Foundation of a set of bookplates and an engraved set of book ends. We will dedicate a page to you on the foundations website that will include your biographical information, place an honor book in the collection in your name as well as acknowledge your donation in the librarys Discoveries newsletter and annual report. You will also receive advance notice of library programs. To view the Honor Roll of Donors, click here.
