A legacy is a gift for the future and future generations to come. Many people wish to leave a lasting gift to the library that has impacted their lives. Of all the gifts that you’ve given, a bequest may be one of the most meaningful ones you’ll ever make. Through a bequest, you can remember your loved ones in special ways, perpetuate your values, and help provide for the future of the Downers Grove Public Library.

Those who make a bequest or other planned gift to the Downers Grove Public Library Foundation are recognized through membership in The Legacy Club.

As a member of The Legacy Club, you will receive a gift from the Downers Grove Public Library Foundation of a set of book plates and an engraved paperweight/magnifier. We will acknowledge your name on the foundation’s Honor Roll of Donors and the library’s Discoveries newsletter and annual report. You will also receive advance notice of library programs.

You can become a member of The Legacy Club by making a planned gift to the Downers Grove Public Library Foundation. Membership into The Legacy Club is automatically conferred upon the Downers Grove Public Library Foundation’s receipt of documentation of the gift.
